A hand-cut paper map of Vietnam's 34 provinces

Punu draws Vietnam as layers of paper, with the 34 provinces and cities set by Resolution 202/2025/QH15 and the Hoàng Sa and Trường Sa archipelagos. Tap a province to lift it from the map and open its guide.

  • Search by today's names or the old ones, like Saigon
  • Switch the map to Food, Nature or Culture to see what each province is known for
  • Save the places you love and find them again in one list

Every province has a guide with places worth a visit, photos credited to their authors and the dishes to try there. The Local Food Guide explains what each dish is, how it tastes and what goes into it.

  • Beaches, mountains, temples, caves and viewpoints
  • Local specialties, and dishes you can eat almost anywhere
  • Notes on pork, seafood, peanuts and vegetarian options

Speak Local

Vietnamese phrases with audio

Speak Local has everyday phrases with audio, so you can hear them before you try. Show to Local puts a phrase on the full screen for the person in front of you, and Punu Lens reads text in a photo and translates it on your iPhone.

  • Listen to a phrase, then say it yourself
  • Show a phrase to a local in large type
  • Translate menus and signs from a photo, on your device
